Bio
Rosie Friedland is a Southern Ontario, Canada-based vocalist who sings jazz, songs of the big band era, pop, rock, and more. She performs with quartets, octets, and 17-piece bands.
Rosie fell in love with jazz at age 7 when she first heard Ella Fitzgerald on the radio. Since then, she has been singing her heart out to big band standards and finds joy in all kinds of jazz, from Dinah Washington to Ahmad Jamal to Antonio Carlos Jobim. She also enjoys singing more modern tunes, from the 1970s up to the present day.
With a 16-year background in choral singing, Rosie started performing with big bands in Los Angeles in 2017, and moved to Canada and started teaching voice full-time in 2025. She loves the collaborative effort that goes into these shows and is constantly learning from the other players.
She would love to work with you if you are looking for a voice teacher, or for music for an upcoming event. Please get in touch!
